Belvedere of San Martino
It is one of the best known panoramic spots in Naples! The San Martino belvedere is located near the Vomero district and offers a complete view over the roofs of the city and Vesuvius.
From here you can travel along the i gradini del Petraio which quickly connect two apparently very distant points of the city: the Vomero hillto the beautiful Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
When you are in San Martino, don’t miss Castel Sant’Elmo, whose terrace is another panoramic point, even higher than the city
Castel Dell’Ovo
Enjoy an unusual view, look at Naples from the perspective of the sea: Castel dell’Ovo is one of the most beautiful panoramic points and one of the most famous places of interest in the city. Also visit the castle and admire the ancient cannons and battlements. Admission is generally free!
Sant’Antonio a Posillipo
Even Sant’Antonio a Posillipo is one of the most famous scenic spots in Naples. The large terrace overlooking the sea, adjacent to the church of Sant’Antonio offers a beautiful view of the gulf and the promenade of Mergellina. From here, take advantage of it also to travel the famous 13 descents of Sant ‘Antonio that take you quickly from the Posillipo hill to the Mergellina district.
Vergilian Park
Not to be confused with the Virgiliano park, this is one of the less known panoramic points.
In addition to a beautiful view of the city, the Vergiliano Park houses the tombs of Virgilio and Giacomo Leopardi. A perfect place for those who want to discover something unique in Naples
Viviani park
It is not one of the best known viewpoints, but we often spend it there and we can assure you that those benches on infinity will warm your heart. Located in via Giorlamo Santacroce, the Viviani Park is unfortunately not well preserved by the Municipality of Naples, but nothing will distract you from the view it offers you.
This was our list of the 5 most beautiful panoramic points in Naples to which we could add many others such as Via Orazio, Via Tasso or Via Petrarca. No matter which one to choose, the important thing will be to go home with a postcard that tells of this ancient, romantic, complicated and colorful city.
