Getting around in Ios<\/strong><\/h2>Ios is by no means a flat island and extends for 108.7 km\u00b2 with an altitude of 713 m.<\/p>
There is no real coastal road that takes you from one point of the island to the other, which you will have to literally “cross”<\/em> the mountains that characterize it.<\/p>In addition, some roads that lead to deserted and breathtaking beaches are rocky and unpaved so you can:<\/p>
- Rent a car<\/strong>; bearing in mind that you will have to park and then continue on foot (do not worry because you will always find rather large parking areas).<\/li>
- Rent a quod<\/strong>; it allows you to easily travel any type of road and therefore stop as close as possible to each beach.<\/li>
- Rent a scooter;<\/strong> in this case we can tell you that the daily cost of the scooter rental is \u20ac 20\/22 and the maximum displacement that you will find available will be 125 cc (insurance is excluded and the cost is around 3 euros per day )<\/em><\/li><\/ul>
You must be very experienced driving the scooter on the dirt roads of the island or even in this case park and continue on foot.<\/p>
You may also encounter a lot of wind on the island so be very careful on your scooter and bring a windbreaker with you)<\/p>

Perhaps he suffers from vertigo he might be a little afraid (especially if the day is also a bit windy).<\/em><\/p>However, the route is very simple and offers truly unique panoramic views.<\/p>
The visit is obviously free.<\/strong><\/p>Do not trust Google Maps<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, rather help yourself with the local signs (brown signs with white writing).<\/p>Google maps will probably take you to an old abandoned house, in this case go down that dirt slope, turn left and follow the road for about 4 minutes.<\/p>

We ate for lunch at the Venus Bar Restaurant<\/strong><\/a><\/span> but the cost for two salads and a bottle of water was not cheap at all (about 35 euros).<\/p>Go in search of deserted and half-known beaches<\/strong><\/h4>Here are the beaches that we discovered in Ios aboard our scooter and that we recommend:<\/p>
