Our weekend in Castellabate was<\/a> full of relaxation, we wanted to simply enjoy the beauty and authenticity of this wonderful city of Cilento. Surely the location that hosted us over the weekend, Residenze Tamara,<\/strong>helped to make our stay special for which we tell you about our experience.<\/p>\n

The Tamara Residences, are period residences, an institution in Castellabate and today they are even better known because here were also shot some scenes of the film Welcome to the South. One of these apartments was used as the home of Alessandro Siani, the<\/strong>protagonist of the film; yes, exactly the yellow tiled kitchen where this young and insecure postman’s mom made coffee at all hours and of course… the zabaione.<\/p>\n

Lello, one of the owners is a person in hand, friendly, personable but discreet. He is Neapolitan who knows Castellabate well, tells us many things about the place and advises us itineraries and unmissable landscapes. Lello will also advise you on the best restaurants in the city. The office where you receive us for check-in is attached to the breakfast room, where the small bar corner is decorated with blue majolica.<\/p>\n

Wonderful majolica are also found in our beautiful junior suite.<\/strong> near the bed, there is a large window that allows you to access the balcony directly overlooking the sea. large white cabinets, which hide the bathroom and also the kitchenette, ideal for preparing coffee or herbal teas. There’s also a frigobar with lots of drinks, even Cilento wine and prosecco. We did not find a courtesy kit, but the room was always perfectly clean and tidy, thanks to the very sweet and nice cleaning lady. The room is bright and warm as well as very spacious. In fact the room is located from the rest of the building but the journey is really very short and connected to the garden of the residences by a small door.<\/p>\n

The garden is wonderful, the view of the sea leaves you breathless and we also enjoy it during breakfast while we repair ourselves from the sun under a lush lemon tree. We like the breakfast of the Tamara Residences,<\/strong>it is simple and genuine: jams and chocolate, fluffy and particularly large croissants, very tasty coffee and cappuccino. The beauty of breakfast is to be greeted with sincere smiles from lello but also from her daughter.<\/p>\n

The Tamara Residences<\/strong> are one of the few properties to offer parking,<\/strong>however free,<\/strong>to its guests. Both in the room and in the common areas there is wi-fii free which is accessed by registering through Facebook or Google+.<\/p>\n

At 17:00 you can also enjoy an aperitif in the garden until sunset time and we assure you that from there it will be really beautiful, like the entire structure.<\/p>\n
