The Christmas period is a really magical time but, to be clear, it is also quite stressful; You know that we deal with advertising and this period is really deadly: gadgets, social campaigns, promotions for which to make graphics, tiredness that accumulates and then the rush to gifts that no one can escape. We then decided to take a break before diving back into the lights, colors and… things to do; we allowed ourselves a relaxing weekend near the house, precisely in Benevento in a farmhouse, the Triclinio del Fauno.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are looking for an idea for a romantic weekend in Campania, the Triclinio del Fauno<\/strong> is the right solution, ideal to relax and take a little off the push from the city, enjoy only the silence, the food, the green of Beneventano and the good wine.<\/p>\n

We booked this weekend, a bit “last minute”, as they say was an improvised: we were planning to visit the Christmas Markets that<\/a><\/strong> would be held that weekend in Torrecuso,<\/strong>at the Fortezza estate.<\/p>\n

We had thought of going for a jump on Sunday afternoon but then we decided to give ourselves some extra time, then: search on Booking for a nice farm, reservation and away.<\/p>\n

We thought it was   something rustic, maybe we imagined a farmhouse in Benevento as an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, rather simple and modest and instead we found ourselves in front of a very elegant structure, scenic and immersed and overlooking the autumn colors of the countryside.<\/p>\n

You know that the triclinium<\/em><\/strong> was the room where the ancient Romans gathered to enjoy the preanzo, spending hours in relaxation and conviviality. When you’ve studied Latin and remember the meaning of this word well, that’s enough to tease you and convince you that it might be the place you were looking for. The beauty of the property did not disappoint our expectations at all.<\/p>\n

The Latin world and its mythology, pervade the entire structure: the dining rooms and guest rooms are named after people known during the years of classical high school; The same Faun<\/em><\/strong> was a mythological creature who inhabited the bosch., while ours is the room of the Hours, sisters of the best known Moire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you know why it was a relaxing weekend? Because in this farm we were able to enjoy the tranquility and that healthy rest that we often do not have in the city and then of course, good food and good wine.<\/p>\n

We choose dinner a tasting menu, to discover the authentic flavors of Samnium, the good, genuine ones, those you want on autumn days when the humidity drops and outside it is already dark from 17:00. We talk about mushrooms, potatoes, cold cuts, cheeses, chestnuts, pumpkin and of course a full-bodied red that warms up, a classic Aglianico of the house, that right extra flavor.<\/p>\n

You may not believe it, but relaxing does not just mean resting or sleeping but also means having a chat with someone without worrying about the timetable, without thinking about the next appointment and without speaking for a workforce; that’s why we stop to chat with the very young managers, nice and helpful.<\/p>\n

This weekend is not cold at all… we can smoke a cigarette on the terrace even wearing only a pullover and we enjoy a few minutes of silence, the water peel of the fountains and the lights of the houses in the distance.<\/p>\n

We just needed to sleep and wake up late in the morning: no  <\/span>at home we can’t do it, we have to do it early, get ready for lunch, finish that project before Monday arrives…at the Triclinio del Fauno<\/strong> they seemed to know; we need breakfast in the room, not because we asked, but because it works like this from them… you just have to worry about what you want to drink and they make you breakfast and take it to your room. This means that you can sleep late and drink the hot cappuccino still under the warmth of the blankets.<\/p>\n

Our huge room at 10:30 am is flooded with the sweet scent of the icing sugar of the croissants and the decisive one of coffee.<\/p>\n

\"relaxThe view in the morning from the fauno triclinium is splendid, even more beautiful than yesterday… the green hills on this sunny Sunday shine in the sun and the staircase almost seems to shine.<\/p>\n
