There’s always a good reason to go back to Merano. Every period, holiday and every season is ideal to return to Merano.<\/h2>\n

Our first time in this beautiful city,<\/a>we discovered its beautiful Christmas Markets,<\/a>which illuminate the streets from November to January. This time instead we returned to take you to the ski slopes of Merano 2000 and for a small tour to discover the forst breweries of the city. All this was possible as always thanks to theHotel Westend of<\/a> the Strohmer family, which again hosted us on the right bank of the Passirio.

Winter in Merano<\/h3>\n

As we have mentioned, one of the most suggestive seasons to visit the city is precisely winter. The Natal Markets are<\/a>not to be missed and take place in front of theelegant Kurhaus<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and fill the streets with music, colorful lights, sweet scents and typical Tyrolean flavors.
\nOn December 5th there is one of the local festivals, that of the devils, the Krampus… be careful, the joke is around the corner!<\/p>\n

But winter is also the season of the “white week” that all winter sports enthusiasts are looking forward to, so the Merano 2000 slopes are not to be missed. Perfect for experts and equipped for children, those who do not do well with skis will also like it: you can rent a toboggan or maybe choose one of the proposed walks and enjoy a nice hot chocolate in one of the huts, in front of a completely whitewashed landscape.<\/p>\n

Spring in Merano<\/h3>\n

Spring fills the city with color and scents. It starts in April with the fantastic flower festival and continues with the opening of the famous Trauttmansdorff gardens that<\/strong><\/em><\/a>you can reach comfortably by bus. Divided into thematic areas, you’ll feel like you’re traveling the world: from the Japanese garden river, to the palm beach to a Mediterranean lemon terrace. Don’t miss the castle, which you can visit this season.<\/p>\n

Summer in Merano<\/h3>\n

Summer is the month of horse racing andthe Racecourse of Meran<\/em><\/strong><\/a>or it is truly unmissable: perfect especially for families who will give the little ones the thrill of experiencing one of the most beautiful sports. Often in this period there are also gatherings of vintage cars that could be interesting for enthusiasts and not and also there are many concerts that take place in the city and in its most beautiful places. In summer Merano 2000 transforms from Snow park to amusement park in nature for adults and children: outdoor games, trekking walks and a lot of entertainment at 2000 meters.<\/p>\n

Autumn in Merano<\/h3>\n

Merano in autumn offers truly suggestive colors and shades and transforms the Tappeiner walk<\/strong><\/em><\/a> into a kind of journey inside a painting. You can also take advantage to discover the vineyards of the area and enjoy its fantastic scents  and with wine intentions, in this period in the beautiful citizens of south Tyrol you can attend the grape festival, a tradition of which the inhabitants are proud: the gangs of all the neighboring countries parade through the city and… there are the legendary Tyrolean slapsmen<\/em>!<\/p>\n
