Welcome to Seville, the most beautiful city in Andalusia! Years ago this city adopted me, and today I help travelers discover its wonders. Here are my suggestions for visiting Seville in a weekend.<\/p>

First day: arrival in Seville,Torre del Oro, Nao Victoria and Triana<\/em><\/h2>

To reach the center of Seville from San Pablo airport<\/strong>just take the EA shuttle, or a taxi, here are the rates: www.aeropuerto-sevilla.com<\/strong><\/a><\/span> . <\/strong>In the city you can move perfectly by foot: the center of Seville, one of the largest in Europe, is ideal for getting lost walking through narrow and winding streets, very often pedestrianized. Furthermore, almost all the tourist attractions are in the downtown.<\/p>

After checking into the hotel, start with a walk along the Guadalquivir river, with the Tower of Gold,<\/strong> from which Muslims controlled access to the city by river in the Middle Ages. Before crossing the Isabel II bridge and reaching Triana, stop to admire the replica of theNao Victoria<\/strong>, the only surviving ship from the first voyage around the world in 1522. The ship can be visited, as is the exhibition dedicated to this impressive expedition which was financed by the Spanish crown. <\/p>

On the other side of the river you will find Triana, the most famous popular neighborhood in Seville.<\/strong> In Triana you can also eat very well: in the market you will find some tapas bars, and not far away the most popular restaurants<\/strong> in the neighborhood: Alfareria 21<\/em> and Las Golondrinas<\/em>, both famous for their Iberian meat dishes, essential in the Sevillian diet, such as la presa<\/em><\/strong> or solomillo with whiskey.<\/strong><\/em> In Seville we love having an after dinner drink, and the Triana Riverfront is the perfect place to do so.<\/p>

Second day: Spain Square, The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See , Girarlda<\/em><\/h3>

Let’s start the day in the best way: one of the most spectacular places in all of Andalusia is ten minutes from the historic center and is called the Spain Square.<\/strong> To describe it in detail and with the right adjectives I would need half a blog, so I will just strongly advise you not to miss it. It was built as the Spanish pavilion at the Ibero-American Expo of 1929, as was the beautiful Maria Luisa Park. <\/p>

\"weekend<\/a><\/figure>

By taxi you can reach the Plaza de Toros<\/strong>, in a very nice neighborhood, the Arenal.<\/strong> There you will find excellent tapas bars and restaurants for lunch, such as Pepe Illo, where you can taste the cola de toro<\/em><\/strong> and the salmorejo.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

After lunch you can visit the splendid Santa Mar\u00eda de la Sede<\/strong>; initially a mosque, today it is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, and its Giralda<\/strong>, an ancient minaret and now a bell tower, is the symbol of the city. Tickets to visit the Cathedral and climb the Giralda can be found on www.catedraldesevilla.es.<\/a><\/strong><\/span> <\/p>

For a bit of relaxation after the cathedral, I have some good news for you: you are very close to the shopping area of \u200b\u200bSeville! The streets Sierpes, Tetu\u00e1n and Cuna<\/strong>are full of shops, and for a snack with churros<\/strong><\/em> go to the Comercio bar or Picatoste.<\/p>

For dinner, I suggest you explore the Alameda<\/strong>, a beautiful and lively square with a great gastronomic offer. My favorite places are Al Aljibe and Duo Tapas.<\/p>

Third day: Real Alcazar, Santa Cruz, Metropol Parasol<\/em><\/h3>

The second most visited monument in Seville is the royal palace<\/strong>, famous scene of Game of Thrones, which still retains the Arabic nameReal Alc\u00e1zar.<\/strong> You can find tickets onwww.alcazarsevilla.org<\/a><\/span><\/strong> . The enclosure is huge, with wonderful gardens and it will take a couple of hours to visit it well. Near the Real Alc\u00e1zar you can also visit theArchive of the Indies<\/strong>, the Cabildo market<\/strong> (on Sunday mornings) and the El Postigo handicraft market,<\/strong> perfect for a quality souvenir at a good price.<\/p>

For lunch, you don’t need to go very far: in Santa Cruz, the ancient Jewish quarter,<\/strong> you will find traditional places like Las Teresas, with the best Iberian jam\u00f3n<\/em>in the area or more modern ones like El Pasaje, to taste an excellent paella.<\/em> Santa Cruz is also the neighborhood that best represents Andalusian urbanism, take enough time to get lost in its alleys and discover its patios.<\/em> <\/p>

The last stop of this day is theMetropol Parasol,<\/strong> which we call Las Setas<\/strong><\/em>(the mushrooms). It is the largest wooden structure in the world, very modern and in stark contrast to the historic center that surrounds it. With the lift you can access the top floor and enjoy the city from above, perhaps at sunset.<\/p>
